Hello there
Due to a lot of miscats I stumbled upon recently and join request of newly joined people who do not seem to understand that their photoshop paintings aren't fractal art I thought it was a good thing to clarify things (again).
So to keep it short I'll make two lists - just as easy as that
What is considered to be Fractal ArtPictures rendered with:
- Apophysis/Metaphysis
- Ultra Fractal
- Mandelbulb
- Fractal Explorer
- JWildfire
- Chaotica
- Inkblot
- Incendia
- Tacitus
- Sterlingware
- Chaosscope
- XenoDream
- SmartPhone Apps that clearly RENDER Fractals
Fractal Manipulations in the sense of:
- Taking a RENDER and majorly manipulate it with other software
- Tinkering a Manip out of DIFFERENT RENDERS with other Software
RAW Fractal is considered what is:
- Unmanipulated Render
- Render with its Background/Frame added with other Software
- Render with SLIGHTLY edited Curves and Colors
What is NOT considered to be Fractal ArtFractal-like art created with:
- PhotoShop
- Gimp
- PaintShop
- ArtRage
- 3D-Generators (Brace, Poser, C4D, ...)
- SumoPaint
- MS Paint
- Pinting-Apps for Smartphones
- FlamePainter, Silk Interactive, etc
Photomanipulations:
- of any kind which LOOK like a fractal
- which minorly use Fractal Stock/Art as a special effect
So I hope that makes some things clear. Feel free to share this in your group or even copy&paste the content into your group blog/journal but please credit me somewhere ^^.
If you have something to add or further questions: PLEASE COMMENT under this blog. Thank you ^^
